(Fr) „Le Visible Mending est une forme de raccommodage, généralement sur des articles textiles, qui est délibérément laissé visible (à comparer au raccommodage invisible). Le double objectif de cette pratique est d’orner l’objet et d’attirer l’attention sur le fait qu’il a été réparé d’une manière ou d’une autre. Ce dernier objectif est souvent une critique de l’idée consumériste de la fast fashion. En d’autres termes, la réparation est censée être une caractéristique nouvelle et distincte de l’objet.“ (Wikipedia anglais). Le terme anglais s’est établi dans le monde entier, la communauté des fans l’utilise également comme hashtag pour se connecter et échanger entre eux.

Der englische Begriff hat sich weltweit etabliert, die Fangemeinde nutzt ihn auch als Hashtag, um sich miteinander zu vernetzen und auszutauschen.

(En) Wild, irregular stitching hides when you are not sewing or embroidering perfectly. Patches are securely and stylishly attached. – (Fr) La broderie sauvage et irrégulière cache le fait que tu ne couds ou ne brodes pas parfaitement. Les patchs sont ainsi fixés de manière sûre et chic. – (De) Wildes, unregelmäßiges Sticken verbirgt, wenn du nicht perfekt nähst oder stickst. Flicken werden damit sicher und schick befestigt.
(En) The imitation suede collar on this jacket is completely worn out. I chose a matching fabric. A floral tapestry to match the colours or a more daring variation: a Provençal print with hens in fresh colours.
(Fr) L’imitation daim du col de ce veste est complètement usée. Je choisis un tissu assorti. Une tapisserie florale qui s’harmonise avec les couleurs ou une variante plus audacieuse : un imprimé provençal avec des poules aux couleurs fraîches.
(De) Das Wildlederimitat am Kragen dieser Jacke ist völlig abgenutzt. Ich wähle einen passenden Stoff. Ein Blumen-Gobelin, der mit den Farben harmoniert, oder eine gewagtere Variante: ein provenzalischer Druck mit Hühnern in frischen Farben.
(En) I opted for the Provence fabric. It won’t be easy to apply the pattern symmetrically to the collar.
(Fr) J’ai opté pour le tissu de la Provence. Il ne sera pas facile d’appliquer le motif de manière symétrique sur le col.
(De) Ich habe mich für den Provence-Druck entschieden. Allerdings wird es nicht einfach werden, den Stoff symmetrisch auf den Kragen zu nähen.
(En) The result: the collar has been repaired. To make the whole blazer look more harmonious, I added two patches with no holes. A trick that transforms a visible repair into a designer piece!
(Fr) Résultat final : le col est réparé. Pour l’harmonie générale, j’ai appliqué deux morceaux de tissu supplémentaires. Une astuce qui transforme une réparation visible en une pièce de design !
(De) Das Endergebnis: der Kragen ist repariert. Damit der Blazer im Ganzen harmonischer wirkt, habe ich noch zwei Flicken aufgesetzt, wo keine Löcher waren. Ein Trick, der aus sichtbarer Reparatur ein Designerstück macht!
